Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo could end their footballing careers playing for the same club having dominated European football for more than a decade.
Inter Miami of Major League Soccer, co-owned by one of the greatest footballers of all time have this dream to see the attacking duo lead their line when they eventually call it quits in Europe.
It will be a dream come true for numerous football fans worldwide to see Ronaldo and Messi playing in the same jersey having seen them battle each other over the years, and David Beckham, a co-owner of Inter Miami is reportedly keen to make this happen.
A report from the Mirror claims that Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will end their careers at Inter Miami if Beckham gets his wish. However, although the club have reportedly put plans in place to make the acquisition of the attacking duo a possibility, another MLS outfit LA Galaxy have been linked with a move for Messi.
MLS’ franchise, Minnesota United head’s coach Adrian Heath has insisted that Beckham has the potential to see the pairing of the attacking duo at Inter Miami come to fruition.
“For Ronaldo and Messi, the two obvious destinations if they came to the MLS would be Los Angeles and Miami. And, with his links to both players and the plan Beckham and his backers have in place, I can really only see them going to Miami,” Heath said in an interview to the Mirror.
