A report by Il Corriere dello Sport suggests that AC Milan are planning to sign 5 new players this summer although their transfer priority for the summer remains the replacement of Hakan Calhanoglu.
The Turkey international joined local rivals Inter Milan as a free agent and they need to sign a new attacking midfielder to replace him.
The Rossoneri have reportedly identified Croatia’s Nikola Vlasic as the ideal replacement but have not reached an agreement with CSKA Moscow for the player.
The paper also pointed out Milan’s need for back-ups for Franck Kessie, Alexis Saelemaekers, and David Calabria. The likes of Chelsea’s Tiemoue Bakayoko and Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara are considerations in center midfield while Diogo Dalot remains their prime target for the right-back role.
It can be recalled that the Manchester United fullback played for Milan on loan last season although the club are not interested in sending him out on a temporary deal again this summer.
Regardless, Pierre Kaluliu can stand as a replacement for Calabria when called upon and it, therefore, remains uncertain if the Serie A outfit will go all out for a new right-back this summer.
Kaio Jorge, 19, could be the club’s fifth signing and is likely to gain valuable experience training with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud. The Rossoneri have already completed deals worth €60m in the winter transfer window.
The likes of Olivier Giroud, Fodé Ballo-Touré, and Mike Maignan have completed permanent moves to the club and the same goes for Fikayo Tomori and Sandro Tonali who spent last season on loan at the club and impressed.
Meanwhile, they’ve extended the loan spell of Brahim Diaz to two more seasons after paying €3m.
