The Commissioner of the MLS, Don Garber, has revealed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to rejoin Serie A side AC Milan after a successful stint at LA Galaxy.
Zlatan. 38, has been in the MLS for the past 18 months and his contract with LA Galaxy will expire at the end of the year. Meanwhile, the towering Swede has been linked with a host of clubs in Europe.
It can be recalled that Ibrahimovic played for AC Milan between 2010 and 2012, and scored 42 goals in 61 league games for the San Siro outfit.
“Zlatan is such an interesting guy,” he told ESPN. “He keeps my hands full and my inbox full, but he’s a thrill-a-minute.
“He is a 38-year-old guy who is being recruited by AC Milan, one of the top clubs in the world.”
Zlatan, in his time in the MLS, has been named twice in the MLS Best 11 in 2018 and 2019. However, his season with Galaxy ended with a 5:3 defeat to local rivals Los Angeles Football Club in the MLS Cup Western Conference semi-finals in October.
