Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar has claimed that referee Bjorn Kuipers who officiated the game between Napoli and his side made a statement he shouldn’t have in the course of the game which ended in a 1 all draw.
The Brazil international played the full 90 minutes and received a yellow card as Thomas Tuchel’s men were denied a win after Lorenzo Insigne converted from the penalty spot in the 62nd minute.
Regardless of the point that was picked away from home, Neymar was frustrated when the final whistle came off after an altercation with Kuipers.
‘The referee told me something he should not have,’ Neymar said. ‘It was disrespectful.
‘I do not want to repeat what he said to me. However, somebody high up should do something.
‘He cannot be as disrespectful as he was with me. On the pitch, we are asked to show respect towards the referees. We should get the same in return.’
