It has been officially confirmed that former Man United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has completed a move to LA Galaxy. The big Swede was released from his Man United contract yesterday and reports were rife that he had moved to the MLS.

This was given credence by a full-page advert in the LA Times with Ibra’s name which read: “Los Angeles, you’re welcome”. LA Galaxy have now posted a video of Ibrahimovic in their shirt, with him declaring “Los Angeles, Welcome to Zlatan”

Meanwhile, Ibra will not join as a designated player, thus exempting him from Major League Soccer’s salary cap. Each franchise in the MLS is allowed three DPs, and as at March 8, La Galaxy already had the likes Giovani Dos Santos, Jonathan Dos Santos, and Romain Alessandrini.
