Pirlo could oversee Juve’s worst Serie A finish in a decade
The Serie A title winner has already been decided and the champions have sealed a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan are the only side that are guaranteed a place in the competition next season thus far whilst the teams from second to the fifth position are still fighting to secure Champions League football.
Regardless, the main issue is Juventus who have been knocked out of the top 4 with just 3 games to go after been thrashed 3 nil by Stefano Pioli’s AC Milan in Turin on Sunday night.
This is a result that no one saw coming especially from an AC Milan team that have been out of sorts and very inconsistent in recent times.
It’s not like Juventus have been very consistent either but it was a shock result in such a key game at home and all I can say for now is that Andrea Pirlo won’t be in the dugout for the OId Ladies next season. It’s just a personal opinion though but I can bet on it.
The Old Ladies have gone from chasing Inter Milan to fighting for the top 4 and this is a major surprise, considering that they were intent on making it 10 Serie titles in a row this season. However, it has been proven that the feat is far above Pirlo’s capacity.
The Old Ladies’ have seen their stranglehold on the Serie A title broken, a scenario that many football fans had hoped for.
However, it will be a disaster if they fail to finish in the UCL places and play in the Europa League next season after being denied a 10th consecutive Serie A triumph.
The likes of Atalanta and Napoli are enjoying the best of form presently and seem consistent enough to finish on a high and this is a major concern for Andrea Pirlo and his men.
AC Milan, on the other hand, have been blowing hot and cold but the result in Turin is sure to boost their confidence and belief ahead of their remaining games.
If there was ever a worst time for a side to start faltering, then it is now with regards to Juventus as their rivals appear up for the fight.
Andrea Pirlo and his men have to get their acts right for the remaining games as they can’t afford to drop any more points.
Meanwhile, Pirlo has overseen Juve’s missing out on the Serie A title for the first time in a decade.
That alone is bad enough and it would be worse if he will be the one to manage the Old Ladies’ absence from the UCL for the first time in a long while. It would be detrimental to his managerial credentials and even worse for the Old Ladies.
