Pochettino visits former club Newell’s Old Boys

Former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has returned to Argentina to visit his former club Newell’s Old Boys. It can be recalled that the Argentine manager was sacked by the North London club last month and replaced with Jose Mourinho.

Pochettino started his career at Newell’s Old Boys and made 153 appearances for the club in five years. This is the first time that Pochettino has been publicly sighted since his departure from Spurs.

Meanwhile, Tottenham’s fortunes have improved since his dismissal, having won their last 3 games. Rumors of a potential move to Man United have begun making the rounds again as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not lived up to the billing at Old Trafford.

Regardless, Solskjaer has insisted that he’s not bothered by Mauricio Pochettino’s availability. Man United have not won in their last 3 games. Two of the games have been Premier League draws against newly-promoted sides in Sheffield United and Aston Villa, as well as a Europa League defeat to Astana.
