The Premier League returns this weekend after the international break and we’re looking forward to fireworks in some of the games this weekend.
There is a possibility of major upsets in some of the games and all sides will appear rejuvenated after the players have had breaks from club exertions and could return with a new lease of life.
TOTTENHAM VS CHELSEA – LONDON DERBY TO TEST CHELSEA’S UNBEATEN RUN
Maurizio Sarri and his men will play against Tottenham Hotspur being led by Mauricio Pochettino. All eyes will be on the two forwards for the sides to assess their contributions in the course of the game.
Harry Kane will undoubtedly lead the line for Spurs while Alvaro Morata is expected to start for Chelsea. We’ll see who’ll be key men for their sides. Eden Hazard who appears to have gone cold recently will have to stand up and be counted in this one if the Blues want to keep up with the league leaders.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s unbeaten run and credentials will be tested. One point separates the two sides with Chelsea currently above Spurs.
Therefore, Mauricio Pochettino’s men will be looking to leapfrog their London counterparts. We wait to see how Chelsea cope against Spurs in this fierce London derby.
BOURNEMOUTH VS ARSENAL – POTENTIAL BANANA PEEL FOR THE GUNNERS
Unai Emery’s Arsenal will travel to the Vitality Stadium to face Eddie Howe’s Cherries.
Bournemouth have been very formidable at home as only Manchester United have won there in the last 10 games this season.
Arsenal, on the other hand, have been decent away from home, and another cracker awaits in this one. There is the likelihood of an upset though, as the Gunners’ form has appeared to wane with 3 draws in their last 3 League games.
They lost in their last visit to the Vitality and Bournemouth will derive confidence from that encounter. Arsenal sit 5th while the Cherries sit 6th. The Gunners are ahead with 4 points.
WEST HAM VS MAN CITY – REUNION FOR MANUEL PELLEGRINI
The high-flying Man City face West Ham who are being led by former boss Manuel Pellegrini at the London Stadium.
No one can easily guess when next the Citizens will drop any points, but the Hammers can pose a challenge. Regardless, Manchester City are obvious favorites for the win in this one, added with the injuries to some key players in Pellegrini’s side.
WATFORD VS LIVERPOOL
Finally, the Gegenpressing Liverpool will face Watford away from home in a tricky tie. This is another opportunity for Mohammed Salah to continue his recovery from his slow start to the season.
Watford have not had good times against Liverpool in recent times, and this might continue.
Regardless, there’s a possibility of an upset in this one as well as in other games. One or two upsets might materialize as 4 the top 5 are playing away from home, with Spurs being the only exception.
