RB Leipzig proving worthy competitors against Bayern in the Bundesliga

The race for the 2020/21 Bundesliga title has been a close one thus far as the contenders have proven to be up to the task of usurping the defending champions Bayern Munich if they let complacency creep into their season.

The Bavarian giants are always favorites for the title and this has been the case in recent seasons. Although folks thought that their regular domestic rivals Borussia Dortmund would give them a good chase, this has not been the case.

Instead, another club has crept in to ensure that Hansi Flick and his men have it tough this season and it’s Julian Nagelsmann’s Red Bull Leipzig. Who would have thought? Well, folks who’d be interested in betting on who wins the Bundesliga can do so at Happyluke with the most popular soccer betting types

After 23 games in the Bundesliga this season, alongside some shock losses by the Bavarian giants, just 2 points separate table-toppers Bayern Munich from second-placed RB Leipzig.

More so, Bayern have won just 1 game more than Leipzig with 16 wins to their name and 15 to the latter.

Bayern Munich’s ruthlessness in Europe and on the domestic stage last season was a wonder. They’ve maintained the ruthlessness in Europe but this has not been the case in the Bundesliga as the German sides have shocked them this season.

The defending champions lost 4 games and drew 4 throughout last season in the Bundesliga in 34 games but have already lost 4 and drawn 3 in 23 games this season.

This is a far cry from last season’s form and with 11 games still to go, there are indications that they’ll lose more with how they’ve performed thus far.

Credits must go to Julian Nagelsmann and his men for making this season’s title race very competitive for Bayern, at least up till this stage of the season.

Hansi Flick’s men cannot afford to relax as RB Leipzig are in the form of their lives domestically.

RB Leipzig are currently on a run with 5 wins in their last 5 games in the Bundesliga and this has enabled them to lower the points difference against a faltering Bayern.

As expected, Bayern are still favorites for the title but we are keen to see what RB Leipzig are up to in the title race and also see how it ends.

Bayern welcome perennial rivals Borussia Dortmund to the Allianz Arena on the next matchday and they know that they can’t afford any further slip as a defeat will activate Dortrmund’s title hopes.

Meanwhile, RB Leipzig will play away to Freiburg in what will count as another test of their title credentials. We look forward to these two games and their impact on the Bundesliga table.
