Real Madrid is set to add another brilliant Brazilian teenager to their ranks. This is after the acquisition of youngsters Vinicius Junior and Rodryugo in recent seasons. The La Liga giants are now set to add 17-year-old Reinier from Flamengo.
The transfer could be completed in the coming days according to reports in Brazil and Spain
“Let’s wait and see,” Reinier said in the course of training with Brazil’s under-23 squad on Sunday.
The pending transfer seems to be stealing the headlines on news regarding Madrid although they further tightened the race for the La Liga with the 3 nil win away to Getafe on Saturday while Barcelona were forced to a 2 all draw against Espanyol.
Reinier is a creative attacking midfielder and has been hailed as one of the bright rising Brazilian talents. He played his part as Flamengo won last year’s Brazilian league as well as the Copa Libertadores. He scored 6 goals in 15 games as a professional with the club.
Real Madrid will pay close to 35 million euros for Reinier. Meanwhile, the youngster has been a regular for Brazil’s youth squad, similar to the likes of Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo.
