Real Madrid are ready to compete with rivals Barcelona for Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez in the summer according to reports. The Argentine who has scored 16 goals in all competitions for Inter Milan this season will be available for €111 million in July under a clause in his contract with the Serie A club.
There have been concerns over a lack of goals at the Bernabeu this season with an over-reliance on Karim Benzema. Summer signing Luka Jovic has also struggled to adapt to football in Spain after arriving from Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt. He has scored only two goals in La Liga this season.

Real Madrid sources that were contacted declined to confirm or deny any interest in the Inter forward. He has also been linked with a move to Barcelona as an end-of-season replacement for Luis Suarez who was forced to the sidelines for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery for a knee injury in January.
Meanwhile, a stumbling block to Martinez’s move to Real Madrid would be his lack of an EU passport as La Liga clubs are allowed a maximum of three non-European players in their squads.
It can be recalled that the Los Blancos already have the likes of Eder Militao, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo in their squad as well as new signing Reinier who will join up with the Castilla next week.
