Barcelona have not been living up to their reputation this season for a club of their pedigree and Ronald Koeman has his work cut out for him at Camp Nou.
The club’s board have clarified that there must be exits in the winter transfer window if they want to recover and sign players that will meet the criteria of their dutch manager and also help improve their fortunes this season.
Ronald Koeman won’t have much work to do here and some players in the team already do not fit into his plans. Therefore, he’ll be willing to let go of them when the transfer window reopens.
A report from SPORT has claimed that the likes of Carles Alena and Ruqui Puig will be among those that will leave the Camp Nou. However, it must be noted that only loan exits will be considered.
There is the belief that both players will eventually come good and have a big future at the club although their current situation at Camp Nou is far from ideal.
Barca boss Koeman is satisfied with his midfield options and believes they are well covered in that department, thus making the youngsters surplus to requirements presently. The youngsters have shown potential and shouldn’t struggle to be located by suitors.
The duo are emerging talents in Barcelona and Spain and the club will be on the lookout for a move that will give the players the best expression of their footballing abilities and help them improve tremendously.
Presently, their destinations are not cast in stone but if any move materializes, it won’t be a permanent transfer.
