Egypt international and Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is set to be on the sidelines for three to four weeks.
Salah was forced off during the UCL final against Real Madrid and is desperate to represent Egypt in their third world cup adventure and first in 38 years.
This was revealed by Liverpool physio, Ruben Pons in a chat with Spanish sports newspaper Marca:
“He is sad about what happened but is totally focused on recovery, seeing when he can be ready,”
“In principle it will be between three and four weeks but we will try to reduce those dates, that’s the big goal.”
Egypt will begin their campaign in Russia against Uruguay on June 15, before facing Russia on June 19 and Saudi Arabia on June 25. Meanwhile, Salah who was injured by a challenge from Ramos is being treated in Spain.
