Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri held peace talks with his players on Monday after the 2 nil defeat to Arsenal which left the Italian tactician frustrated and ranting at his players in the post-match press conference.
It can be recalled that a very furious Sarri launched an attack against his team after the game. He had to switch to his native Italian language for the post-match media conference.
Sarri wanted to send a very clear message to his players after the abysmal performance as he attacked their attitude and personalities.
However, Chelsea have another big game on Thursday against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final fixture.
Therefore, he saw the need to sort things out with his players in a training ground meeting according to The Times.
There are claims that some Chelsea players are puzzled with Sarri’s decision to deploy Eden Hazard as a striker while a fit Olivier Giroud is made to settle for a place on the bench.
Regardless, the Italian still has the support of the dressing room as the Blues continue their fight to achieve something significant this season.
