Tottenham Hotspur can now turn their attention to player transfers after the appointment of new boss Nuno Espirito Santo ahead of the 2021/22 season.
The Londoners have reportedly identified Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini as a target and are in advanced talks over an initial loan deal for the 26-year-old who spent some of his youthful days at Manchester United.
He then went on to spend two years at Aston Villa before moving to Atalanta on loan in 2017 and joining them permanently in 2018.
The shot-stopper has been very impressive in Serie A and the North London outfit are interested in signing him on loan with an option to buy for £12.9million at the end of next season.
If the move materializes, it will be the first deal under Nuno and also the first move to be completed in the Fabio Paratici era.
Meanwhile, Spurs are also interested in Atalanta center-back Cristian Romero but an agreement between both parties has not been reached as talks progress for the Argentina international.
