Spurs set to offer €40 million for Eder Militao

A report from Sky Sports suggests that Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur are set to offer €40 million to sign Eder Militao from Real Madrid next summer.

It can be recalled that Los Blancos shelled out €50 million to sign Militao from Porto just a year ago. However, he has not been a key player for Real Madrid this season. Regardless, he’s just 22 and has shown lots of potentials.

Therefore, it would be strange for Madrid to let him leave given that they’ll need a quality replacement for Sergio Ramos. The decision will depend on Zinedine Zidane’s valuation of the 22-year-old’s worth to his side. If he trusts Militao then he may stay put but if he doesn’t, they will accept the €40 million offer and look elsewhere for Ramos’ replacement.
