Tottenham Hotspur will refund season-ticket holders for their remaining Premier League home matches this season. The top-light of English football is hoping for a return in mid-June but all the games will be played behind closed doors.
This is due to the measures that have been put in place to curtail the spread of COVID-19 and ensure that the number of infected folks is reduced drastically.
Other Premier League clubs like newcomers Norwich, as well as Manchester City, Leicester, and Everton, have also offered full reimbursements to supporters.
A statement released by the club to this effect read: “For the final five home fixtures we shall issue a pro rata credit to all Season Ticket Holders and 1882 Members.
“These funds can be applied against your 2020/21 season ticket. You will not need to do anything – your seat will be secured and we will contact you in due course about completing your renewal.
“Any Season Ticket Holder who wishes to request a refund instead of having this credit set against next season’s season ticket will be able to do so.
“Details on how to request this refund will be emailed to all Season Ticket Holders.”
According to the club, fans who had already bought general admission tickets would receive full refunds of their monies.
