Spurs want Hojbjerg in the summer

Tottenham Hotspur have identified Southampton captain Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as one of their main targets in the summer. Two other Premier League clubs, Arsenal and Everton are also keen on the former Bayern Munich star.

The Denmark international has not extended his present contract which runs out in the summer of 2021 resulting in efforts from the club to see if a deal could be agreed in this window.

The player has been instrumental in Southampton’s recent revival under Ralph Hasenhuttl and he has been keen to keep him, therefore making a deal likely in the summer.

Meanwhile, Soton boss Hasenhuttl revealed that he had no intention letting any players leave in the January transfer window. Hojbjerg joined the Saints from Bayern Munich in 2016 for a £12.8m fee on a five-year deal.
