Fernandinho extends contract with Man City

Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho has signed a one-year contract extension that will keep him at the Etihad. The Citizens' skipper whose contract expired at the end of last season will have stayed nine years at the club by the time the new deal expires. Fernandinho joined Manchester City from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013 in a deal worth £30million. The Brazilian has played 350 games for the Etihad outfit and has established himself as a key figure on the pitch and at the club.
