Leeds United are taking the Premier League by storm

In 2001, Leeds United looked destined for great things. Champions League semi-finalists, the Yorkshire club were one of the top teams in England, yet financial disaster struck, and Leeds were relegated by 2004. Now, 16 years later, Leeds are back in the Premier League. Leeds United were led back to the promised land by Marcelo Bielsa, a coach described as the ‘best in the world’ by Pep Guardiola. Armed with an attacking philosophy and a team that won the Championship title by ten clear points, Leeds have already taken the Premier League by storm in the 2020/21 season thus far. The question is, how well can the team perform? Reiss Nelson hails aggressive Mikel Arteta

Reiss Nelson has praised Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta for his aggressive half-time wake-up call to his players which enabled them to edge past Championship side Leeds United with a 1 nil victory in the third round of the FA Cup at the Emirates on Monday night. Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds dominated the first-half of the game as the Gunners were second best but wasted opportunities to put the home side to the sword. At the interval, Arteta gave his players a dressing down which resulted in an improved performance in the second half and a much needed win. Lacazette initially revealed that Arteta shouted a lot while Arteta admitted that he was angered by his side's performance at half-time. Nelson, who came up with the winner admitted that it was nice that the new boss could play the role of goo...

Bielsa confirms that Arsenal will recall Nketiah from loan spell

Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed that Arsenal will recall young striker Eddie Nketiah from his loan spell. The 20-year-old has not been used regularly in the Championship thus far and has scored 3 goals in 16 appearances, most of which were from the bench. However, Nketiah started the last two games for Leeds in the 5:4 win against Birmingham and the 1 all draw against promotion rivals West Brom, driving suggestions that Bielsa wanted to convince Arsenal to leave him be at Elland Road. He was subbed off in the game against West Brom and was replaced by Patrick Bamford who scored the equalizer for Leeds. Bielsa went on to admit that it may have been his last game for Leeds. “Yes, we know that he’s not going to continue with us,” Bielsa told reporters. GET THE LATEST FO...
