Richarlison to miss game against Paraguay due to mumps

Brazil manager Tite has confirmed that forward Richarlison will play no part in Thursday's Copa America quarter-final against Paraguay due to an illness. The Everton star started Brazil's first two group games in the competition but played no part in the thrashing of Peru in their last group game on Saturday. He will miss the last eight fixture because he has been diagnosed with mumps. Richarlison was isolated from the squad due to the contagious nature of the illness. According to Brazil, the forward needs full rest and medication to enable him to recover fully. The rest of the squad will now face vaccination procedures after the match against Paraguay in Porto Alegre.
