Reports from Spain suggest that Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is hoping to get a call from Real Madrid for a possible transfer to the Spanish giants.
The Belgium goalkeeper’s contract with Chelsea expires in June 2019, and emerging reports from Marca indicate that he has plans to move to Real Madrid and will, therefore, be avoiding the extension of his contract with Chelsea.
There are rumors that Courtois allegedly made contact with Real Madrid and is harboring the hope that the Bernabeu outfit will make attempts to capture his signature.
The Belgian spent 3 years on loan at Atletico Madrid from Chelsea between 2011 and 2014, before returning to Stamford Bridge to replace Petr Cech between the sticks for Chelsea.
Courtois has played a vital role in two Premier League title triumphs with Chelsea, and it’s no secret he has a desire to return to the Spanish capital in the future.
In the course of an interview in 2016, He said: “From the first minute I fell in love with Spain for its people, lifestyle, food… I still eat dinner and then have an afternoon nap, most of the television I see is Spanish… I am half Spanish.”
