Reports from Sky suggest that former France international Thierry Henry has agreed a deal to become Monaco’s new manager to replace former boss Leonardo Jardim at the managerial helm of the club.
This would be the first official adventure of Thierry Henry as full-time head manager of a side having spent time as the Assistant Coach of the Belgium national team.
Leonardo Jardim who took Monaco to great heights in the Ligue 1 and UEFA Champions League some seasons ago was relieved of his duties as Monaco have struggled this season.
Monaco currently sit 18th in Ligue 1 after nine games with just 1 win, 5 losses, and 3 draws. This is a far cry from what was expected from the Monaco side after decent acquisitions were made in the summer.
It can be recalled that Jardim’s time at the club saw the emergence of Kylian Mbappe.
Meanwhile, this is obviously a very challenging job for the Arsenal legend going by where Monaco are at the moment.
Thierry Henry’s only managerial experience was serving as an assistant to Roberto Martinez for the Belgium national team.
We wait to see how the deal progresses and how future events pan out.
