Van de Beek likely to leave Ajax in the summer

Donny van de Beek is expected to leave Ajax in the summer and will consider a move to the Premier League although he dismissed the possibility of leaving the Eredivisie giants this month.

The player is also open to a move to the Premier League if a formal move is made for him at the end of the season. His representatives have been in talks with a Netherlands team scout over his best position although there are yet to be discussions with any Premier League club.

Real Madrid are reportedly interested in van de Beek although no deal has been agreed and clubs have been informed that he won’t leave Ajax until the summer.

In a chat with Fox Sports Netherlands after the friendly against Club Brugge, he said: “It is not that I can or want to do something at the moment,”

“I have said it before, and I will say it again: I will remain at Ajax this season. And maybe next season as well.

“These reports about Real Madrid or Man United are a good sign, but it is not important now. I’ve said I will stay at Ajax and I will do so for 100 per cent.”
