Jack Grealish has established himself as one of the most creative players in the Premier League and it comes as no surprise that the title holders Manchester City are looking in his direction and have reportedly launched a whopping £100m bid for him this summer.
The Citizens under Pep Guardiola will be looking to retain their Premier League title in the 2021/22 season and also triumph in the UEFA Champions League after losing in the finals to Chelsea last season.
Therefore, they are looking to add more creativity to a side that already boasts the likes of Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez, Phil Foden, and Kevin De Bruyne.
The bid should be accepted by Villa as I don’t see them rejecting such a huge offer for the 25-year-old Englishman who is also the captain of the team.
Aston Villa have not responded to Man City’s offer which was made on Friday according to various news sources although it is believed that they are now open to letting him leave this summer. This should be no surprise as long as a whopping offer such as this comes in.
It’s now up to Grealish to decide if he wants to join Pep Guardiola’s train at the Etihad and what would pass for the biggest transfer in the history of English football.
Paul Pogba’s transfer to Manchester United is the highest presently after he rejoined the Red Devils from Juventus in a deal worth £89m in 2016. If this deal materializes, then the supposed noisy neighbors would have gotten another one over their city rivals with regards to bragging rights.
Meanwhile, neither Manchester City nor Aston Villa have made any comment regarding the transfer.
