Premier League outfit West Ham are looking to hijack Valencia’s move for Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez, reports have revealed.
The Hammers are in the market for a decent striker who’ll lead their line next season as Marko Arnautovic is nearing a move to the Chinese Super League.
According to Sky Italia, the East London club are interested in signing Gomez, 22, although Valencia are already at advanced stages of negotiation with the player.
West Ham are reaching out to agents to try and convince the player to opt for a move to the Premier League over a move to the Mestalla with Valencia.
It can be recalled that Sky Sports News formerly hinted that Gomez was keen on a move to East London. although personal terms were not yet agreed.
