West Ham not interested in re-signing Payet despite reports in France
West Ham are not interested in re-signing French midfielder Dimitri Payet and have not registered an interest in the player despite reports in France. Payet joined the Hammers from Marseille in 2015 and spent 18 months at the London based club where he scored 15 goals in 60 games before making a return to the French Club in January 2017.
According to L’Equipe, West ham are interested in the 32-year-old but Sky Sport News believe otherwise and have confirmed that there is no interest from the club and no contact between them either.
The London club are not happy with how Payet forced a move away in a £25m deal that ensured his return to France. Meanwhile, the Hammer have been offered Nantes defensive midfielder Abdoulaye Toure.
The 25-year-old has scored 3 goals in 19 Ligue 1 games this season and is valued at 15m euros (£12.67m). Regardless, the Hammers have made just one signing under David Moyes thus far, and it was goalkeeper Darren Randolph who joined from Middlesbrough on a three-and-half-year deal.
