Deschamps – No one is angry with Kylian Mbappe

France coach Didier Deschamps has disclosed that no one is angry with Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe but it hurts to be knocked out of the ongoing Euro 2020 competition. It can be recalled that the young forward missed his penalty kick and this consigned the French team to elimination from the round of 16 stages of the competition at the hands of Switzerland. This is so, especially in a game where the French team were favorites but eventually squandered a two-goal lead in the latter stages of the game. The Swiss team ran out 5:4 winners from the shootout in Bucharest on Monday night. Deschamps spoke after the game and admitted that none of the squad were displeased with the striker; “No one is angry with him,” he said. He recalled his pre-tournament comments about focus...

Kylian Mbappe asks to leave Paris Saint-Germain

According to reports in France, Kylian Mbappe has asked to leave PSG after losing faith with the project at the Parc des Princes.  The 22-year-old French forward scored 42 goals in 47 games for the Parisian giants last season but couldn't help his side from losing Ligue 1 to LOSC Lille and were knocked out of the UEAF Champions League by Manchester City in the semis. According to RMC Sport journalist Daniel Riolo, the France international wants to leave as he enters the final year of his current contract at the club. It is believed that it won't be easy for him to find a club that would match his wage demands but the report states that Mbappe has lost faith in the project of sporting director Leonardo and won't mind leaving for free next summer if he doesn't leave sooner. Mbappe coy about his future with PSG after cup triumph

Kylian Mbappe refused to talk about his future with Paris Saint-Germain after they triumphed over Monaco in the Coupe de France final with a 2 nil win. The 22-year-old forward was the star of the show as he scored a goal and provided an assist as they sealed another title under new manager Mauricio Pochettino. It can be recalled that Neymar recently put pen to paper at Parc des Princes reportedly worth £26million per year, and PSG will now be looking to strike a new deal with Mbappe. The Frenchman will be out of contract with the club in June 2022 and it is known that he won't be short of suitors with Real Madrid notably one of his major admirers. Flick – Bayern looking to cause mini upset in Paris

Bayern Munich manager has called on his players to be more clinical and force Paris Saint-Germain into mistakes as they try to overturn the first leg 3:2 defeat in today's UCL quarterfinal second leg at the Parc Des Princes. The defending champions dominated the first leg for long periods but missed loads of chances as they lost their first game in the UEFA Champions League in more than two years. However, Flick has expressed confidence that his side will respond positively. "We had many chances but we were not as decisive as we should have been and we have to improve," Flick said during a news conference yesterday. "We will do everything we can and approach the game with optimism. "We have to make sure tomorrow (today) we show the same ambition that PSG showed against us. We have...

Will PSG replace Barcelona on the world stage?

Au revoir Barcelona It appears the times are changing in the world of football. Fading are the days of Barcelona’s dominance and a new group of teams looks set to replace them. One of those teams is last season’s Champions League runners-up, Paris Saint-Germain. They conquered the Catalan side in impressive fashion with a 4–1 victory at the Nou Camp, followed by a 1–1 draw in Paris. Kylian Mbappe was the star of the show, with a hat-trick in the first leg, along with a successfully converted penalty in the second. Lionel Messi led his Barca side as best as he could by scoring the penalty in the first game, smashing in a long-range strike in the return fixture, before his 2nd penalty of the round was saved by Keylor Navas. Looking at PSG’s Champions League form from last season an...
