Kelvin Phillips urges Stones to quit City and join Newcastle

Kelvin Phillips has advised John Stones to consider a move to Newcastle United this summer, seeing he has fallen down the pecking order and out-of-favor under Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola. John Stones has been limited in his appearances for the Citizens this season with just 12 in the Premier League, with 10 of those being starts. The England international has been fit and raring to go for the majority of the season except during a one-month period between September and October.  However, he has been omitted from the squad in a good number of important games by the Spaniard. According to UEFA, the Premier League's defending champions had committed "serious breaches of the Uefa Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations by overstating its sponsorship revenue in its accounts and in the break-even information subm...

Gundogan – Liverpool deserve to be champions

Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has insisted that Liverpool should be awarded the Premier League title even if the season is not completed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Jurgen Klopp's Reds were just two wins away from sealing the 2019/20 Premier League title, their first since 1990 before the season was suspended earlier this month. The shutdown will last till April 30 with Premier League chiefs set to meet on Friday with no indications of when football will resume. Manchester City sit second on the log and trail Liverpool with a whopping 25 points. Regardless, in a chat with German broadcaster ZDF, Gundogan said the Reds deserve the title even if the season isn't completed. "It would be OK for me," he said. "As a sportsman you have to be fair."
