Reports suggest Man City interest in Thiago Alcantara

Manchester City are reportedly ready to make a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara and the coach Hans-Dieter Flick has admitted that he believes that a Premier League move must be the next step for the Spaniard. Thiago has one year left on his contract with the Bundesliga giants and has told the club he would like to leave this summer for a new challenge.  He has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League champions Liverpool but it is understood that although Klopp admires the 29-year-old, a move is not likely till they let go of a key player in their midfield. Liverpool are discussing with Georgino Wijnaldum and are yet to agree terms with the Dutchman for a new contract as he enters the final 12 months of his current contract. Kelvin Phillips urges Stones to quit City and join Newcastle

Kelvin Phillips has advised John Stones to consider a move to Newcastle United this summer, seeing he has fallen down the pecking order and out-of-favor under Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola. The England international has been fit and raring to go for the majority of the season except during a one-month period between September and October.  However, he has been omitted from the squad in a good number of important games by the Spaniard. Gundogan – Liverpool deserve to be champions

Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has insisted that Liverpool should be awarded the Premier League title even if the season is not completed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Jurgen Klopp's Reds were just two wins away from sealing the 2019/20 Premier League title, their first since 1990 before the season was suspended earlier this month. The shutdown will last till April 30 with Premier League chiefs set to meet on Friday with no indications of when football will resume. Manchester City sit second on the log and trail Liverpool with a whopping 25 points. Regardless, in a chat with German broadcaster ZDF, Gundogan said the Reds deserve the title even if the season isn't completed. "It would be OK for me," he said. "As a sportsman you have to be fair."
