Serie A’s top four race gets fiercer; Can AC Milan survive?

We've not witnessed a very competitive Serie A season as the 2020/21 season in a long while. Although the winner of this season's title is all but confirmed, the race for places in the top four is heating up and Juventus are not favorites for anything. Juventus have owned the Serie A for a long while but Antonio Conte's Inter Milan have proved a hard nut to crack and will eventually wrestle the Serie A title from the grips of the Old Ladies. Inter Milan currently lead Serie A with 79 points, 13 points above the defending champions who have been forced to settle for a fight for a place in the UEFA Champions League next season.  Juventus currently sit fourth with 66 points and have the likes of Atalanta, Napoli, AC Milan, and even Lazio to contend with for a place in the top four. ...

AC Milan forward Rafael Leao has caught the eye of some Premier League outfits, one of which is Everton and they are interested in signing him.  However, the Italian outfit has warned the Toffees alongside other interested parties that the player is not for sale unless a bid of €50m is tabled for the forward this summer. Leao joined AC Milan in 2019 from Ligue 1 outfit Lille for €28m but struggled at the start. His fortunes at the club have improved with the 21-year-old currently having 6 goals and 5 assists to his name in 23 Serie A games thus far in the ongoing season. This means that he can still add to his numbers before the end of the 2020/21 football season. Juventus have wholly dominated the league and there has been nothing that both old and new rivals have been able to do about it. We've seen cases where the other title contenders in the Serie A start the season like a house on fire only to falter when the pressure peaks and Juventus have an easy stroll to the defense of their title. Well, with the way the season is panning out in Italy, we may see a change this year, and what better time than now? This is arguably the best time for other big teams in Serie A to take the battle to the Old...

Maldini – Ibrahimovic is on the same level as Van Basten

AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini has claimed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is on the same level as Marco van Basten due to the similarities he has seen between the two players. It's no more news that AC Milan had some brilliant attacking talents in their ranks in the past. When they were dominant in the 1980s and early 90s, Van Basten led the line for the Rossoneri in style and scored a whopping 125 goals in 201 appearances. Very few have been able to replicate his numbers although his career was cut short by injury. Ibrahimovic is another forward who has impressed for AC Milan in his two spells at the club. He made a return to Italy in January and is playing his part to ensure a surprise league triumph for the Rossoneri since 2011 when he led the scoring chart under the management of Mass...
