Fabregas to defer full salary for four months at Monaco to help club

According to reports, Cesc Fabregas has offered to defer his salary for four months in a bid to help Monaco survive the coronavirus crisis. The Telegraph claim that the offer will see the former Premier League and La Liga star take a 30% pay cut. This will allow the Ligue 1 outfit to save close to £2million. They'll also not have to pay back £500,000. The 32-year-old is also willing to cater for the 30% deduction from all training ground staff to help them receive their full wages. This is in sharp contrast to events at former clubs Arsenal and Chelsea. Three Arsenal first-team stars refused the 12.5% pay cut while Chelsea players were only willing to make do with a 10% deduction as against the 30% suggested by the club.
