Lukaku wants more success with Inter Milan

Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku is looking forward to achieving more with the Serie A champions next term after returning to pre-season training on Monday. The Belgian played his part as Inter ended their 11-year wait for the Serie A title whilst hampering Juventus' quest for the title although they were not impressive in the UEFA Champions League and suffered a group stage exit from the competition. "We hope to do well and achieve even more than last year," Lukaku told Inter TV. He scored 24 goals in the league last season and was only outscored by Cristiano Ronaldo who had 29 goals to his name. The 28-year-old has established himself as the focal point of Inter's attack since joining them from Manchester United in a deal worth 80 million euros. READ: Chelsea 2021-22: What t...

Eriksen happy at Inter after understanding Conte’s style

Inter Milan midfielder Christain Eriksen has warned rivals of the club that they are building a dynasty. It can be recalled that Eriksen started slowly under Antonio Conte but is now reinvigorated after getting to grips with the methods of the Italian tactician. He didn't have a bright start to life at Inter after his move from Tottenham Hotspur worth £17.5million in January 2020, as there were reports that he would leave the club during this year's winter transfer window. Eriksen had dropped down the pecking order of stars at the club under Conte as reports in Italy suggested that the latter was disappointed with the midfielder's output. In the same month, the CEO of the club Giuseppe Marotta suggested that Inter were willing to listen to offers for the Dane.  READ: Real Madri...

A good number of fans have been hoping for a shift of dominance in Serie A in recent years. Will this be the case at the end of the 2020/21 season? The question is a very difficult one to answer and it has been proven over the years in Serie A. Juventus have wholly dominated the league and there has been nothing that both old and new rivals have been able to do about it. We've seen cases where the other title contenders in the Serie A start the season like a house on fire only to falter when the pressure peaks and Juventus have an easy stroll to the defense of their title. Well, with the way the season is panning out in Italy, we may see a change this year, and what better time than now? This is arguably the best time for other big teams in Serie A to take the battle to the Old...

Crespo wants Martinez to snub Barca and remain at Inter

Hernan Crespo has described his compatriot Lautaro Martinez as a complete player and wants the forward to stay put at Inter Milan and snub a move to Barcelona. The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona in the course of an impressive 2019/20 season where has already scored 16 goals in 31 games. However, the former Inter Milan, Chelsea and Argentina striker believes that the forward should remain at Inter Milan and establish himself wholly before opting for a big move elsewhere. "I would like him to stay at Inter because this has been his first year as a starter," Crespo told David de las Heras on YouTube while discussing Lautaro's future. "I wish he had a bit more of a solid foundation before another change comes. Trains slow down at the best stations and ...

Barcelona warned against signing Lautaro Martinez

Former agent and Barca presidential candidate Josep Minguella has warned the La Liga giants against signing Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez. The Argentine has been impressive for Inter Milan this term and has been described as a successor to Luis Suarez. However, Minguella has begged to differ with the assessment of the Argentine and went as far AS likening the young forward with a recent player who didn't live up the billing at the Camp Nou, not to talk of the present financial challenges at the club. “The signings of 100 million euros or more have finished,” Minguella said to Radio MARCA and detailed by Mundo Deportivo. “[…] Lautaro is a good player, with good technique, but he is not Suárez’s successor. “[…] For a start, he doesn’t play as a ‘9’ […] In Italy’s list of t...

The Uruguay international is now 33 and in the twilight of his career. His injury worries are already a sign of how he has aged over the years and won't be able to offer the quality he could some years back.
