Vinicius slams referee at UCL defeat to City

Real Madrid star Vinicius has hit out at the referee after their 2:1 defeat to Manchester City in the first leg of their R16 UEFA Champions League tie on Wednesday night. The Los Blancos took the lead on the night through Isco despite City's impressive display. However, they couldn't hold on to the lead as things went wrong for the hosts in the latter stages. Guardiola hopeful City’s UCL ban will be overturned after seeing proof

The Citizens head to the Santiago Bernabeu to face Real Madrid in the first leg of their R16 tie on Wednesday. This is coming amid the possible two-year ban that has been handed to the side by UEFA after serious breaches of Financial Fair Play regulations. Man City are appealing against the ruling although this could be their last chance to win the UCL under Pep Guardiola. The UCL title is a priority at the Etihad but has been very difficult for them to come by. "If we don't win it [the Champions League] everybody is going to say we are failures like the last five years!" he said. READ: Klopp names Liverpool’s ...
