Terem Moffi is a Nigerian professional footballer born on May 25, 1999, in Calabar, Nigeria. He plays as a striker for the French club Nice in Ligue 1 and also represents the Nigeria national team. Terem Moffi, a talented Nigerian footballer, began his journey in England. At 17, he left Nigeria to join the Buckswood Football Academy in Hastings, East Sussex.

This move was the start of his professional football career. After some time in England, Moffi moved to Lithuania, where he joined Kauno Žalgiris in 2017.

During his time there, he played 16 matches and scored 1 goal. After his stint with Kauno Žalgiris, Moffi joined another Lithuanian team, Riteriai.

His time with Riteriai was a bit rocky at first due to visa issues that delayed his debut. However, he scored an impressive 20 goals in 29 league games.

His performance caught the attention of bigger clubs, and in January 2020, he transferred to the Belgian club Kortrijk.

Moffi continued to impress at Kortrijk, scoring 5 goals in 9 appearances. Moffi’s next big move was on 1 October 2020, when he joined Lorient, a club in France’s top league, Ligue 1.

Over the next few years, Moffi played 87 games for Lorient and scored 34 goals, proving himself as a valuable player. His success at Lorient led to another exciting opportunity.

On 31 January 2023, Moffi signed a loan deal with Nice until the end of the season. This deal included an option for Nice to buy him for €30 million, along with a 15% sell-on clause benefiting Lorient.

Moffi quickly adapted to his new team and became an essential player for Nice. During the loan period, he scored 6 goals in 16 appearances.

Following this successful spell, Nice made his move permanent. In the 2023–24 season, Moffi continued to impress, becoming his club’s top scorer with 11 goals in 30 appearances so far.

Terem Moffi began his journey with the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles, in 2021. On May 14, 2021, Nigeria’s head coach Gernot Rohr selected Moffi for the 31-man squad for some friendly matches scheduled for June.

This was a big moment for Moffi as it marked his entry into international football. Moffi made his debut for Nigeria on June 4, 2021, in a match against Cameroon.

Although the Super Eagles lost the game 1-0, it was a big day for Moffi as he played his first match for his country. Since then, Moffi has been an important player for Nigeria.
