Ipswich Town’s Fight To Remain In The Premier League

If there’s one team that has stood out amongst the newly promoted sides in the 2024/25 Premier League season, it’s Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich Town.

They may not have started the season on a high, and may not have won many games, but they’ve not been an easy opponent for the established Premier League sides and they’ve proven it.

If there is any newly promoted side that will remain in the Premier League at the end of the season, then it may be the Tractor Boys or The Blues as they are fondly called.

I dare to call them the Blues seeing that they beat Chelsea 2 nil at the Portman Road Stadium to earn their first Premier League home win in their last game of 2024.

The Tractor Boys have been decent by their standards and look to want to punch above their weight to avoid relegation at the end of the 2024/25 season.

They currently sit 18th on the log and are currently level on points with Wolves on 17th and are 1 point behind Everton in 16th with both sides having a game in hand.

This means they stand a decent chance of surviving if they make little improvements from the first half of the season and it appears they are doing this after a win and a draw in their last two Premier League games against Chelsea and Fulham respectively, which has seen them close the gap in the relegation battle.

Standout Performer | Ipswich Town Best Premier League Player

Liam Delap has been a revelation for Ipswich Town in the Premier League with mindblowing performances that have possibly caught the eye of some of the decent sides, and this may see them come calling for the Englishman if Ipswich fail to survive.

The 21-year-old forward is the highest goalscorer for the Tractor Boys thus far with 8 goals to his name at the time of writing.

He is a major threat to opposition teams and has proven to be a very forward-running attacker with the ball at his feet and has the numbers to show. He is arguably the best player for Ipswich Town FC in the Premier League.

Final Words

I would love the Tractor Boys a.k.a The Blues to bring their A game in this second half of the 2024/25 Premier League season and fight for their survival in the Premier League and I hope they earn it. I just hope that Fortune smiles on Kieran Mckenna and his men.

It wouldn’t be a good development if all the newly promoted sides from the Championship get relegated for a consecutive season as this was the case in the 2023/324 season.
