Dickson Etuhu found guilty of match-fixing in Sweden

Former Nigeria international and Premier League star Dickson Etuhu has been found guilty of attempted match-fixing in the Allsvenskan by a Court of Appeal in Sweden. Etuhu, who played for AIK Solna in the Swedish top-flight between 2015 and 2016, is facing a conviction for trying to influence former teammate Kyriakos "Kenny" Stamatopoulos with money to ensure that a game between AIK and IFK Gothenburg in May 2017 was fixed. It can be recalled that the 37-year-old was cleared by a court in Stockholm of alleged match-fixing last December as the evidence available was not enough to hold Stamatopoulos. Spanish Police arrest multiple La Liga players for match-fixing

Reports are rife that multiple players have been arrested by the Spanish Police for alleged involvement in match-fixing. The players arrested thus far include the likes of Borja Fernandez who retired early in May as well as Samu Saiz of Leeds and Getafe. The apprehended players are accused of belonging to a criminal organization, corruption amongst private individuals and money laundering activities.
