The Ligue 1 giants had already won the first leg 2 nil at Old Trafford and just needed to consolidate on the result. However, this was not the case in France as the Premier League outfit beat the Ligue 1 outfit 3:1 and qualified ahead of them to the shock of football fans around the world.
