Diego Perotti has extended his contract with Roma as he put pen to paper in a deal that will keep him at the club till 2021. This was disclosed through an announcement by the club on Thursday
The 29-year old’s current deal w to expire at the end of next season. perotti joined Roma in January 2016 and has made 78 appearances with 17 goals to his name, the latest of the goals coming in the UCL against Qarabag which ensured that his side finished as group leaders.
“From the first game, I have felt very at home here,” said Perotti, who made played for Argentina for the first time in almost seven years last month.
“I have enjoyed some of the best moments of my career here and I hope to experience many more. I’m very happy.”
In addition, Roma Sporting Director said: “The bond I have with Diego is special. I had the fortune to observe his first steps in European football in person at Sevilla, and now I have the pleasure to assist him as he becomes a valuable player at a great club like Roma.”
Roma currently coached by Eusebio Di Francesco sit fourth on the Serie A log and are 5 points behind the league ledes with a game in hand.
