Manchester United are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of Inter Milan attacker Ivan Perisic and will try to sign the player before Internazionale jet out to China on Tuesday to commence their pre-season tour. The forward is valued at €55m.
It is being speculated that Man United have priced the player close to £40m which should ultimately be around £45m, and although Luciano Spalletti wants to keep the services of the attacker for next season, Perisic is intent on moving to old Trafford
Jose Mourinho wants to bolster his forward line with the Croatian attacker who operates mainly from the wide positions. The United manager still remains doubtful of the attacking abilities of the likes of Anthony Martial, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Jesse Lingard. He pointed out their lack of cutting edge in attack over the course of last season. Perisic is also a utility forward who can be deployed centrally in the attack.
Inter who have acquired the services of Fiorentina’s Borja Valero will leave for China on July 18 and will play against Schalke in Changzhou on the 22nd of July
Perisic joined Inter for their pre-season training activities in camp at Riscone di Brunico. However, if the transfer is completed in time, he may have to fly to the USA and join his new teammates on the demand of Jose Mourinho for their five-match tour which begins on Saturday with a friendly against LA Galaxy at the StubHub Center
