Ancelotti set to be confirmed as new Real Madrid boss

According to reports in Spain, Premier League outfit Everton FC may be set to lose their manager Carlo Ancelotti as Real Madrid are preparing to re-appoint the Italian.

Speculations have intensified in the past 24 hours and there are claims that an announcement on the confirmation of the move could happen today.

The Toffees were on course for great things in the game after convincing one of the most elite managers in the game in recent times to take over at Goodison Park in December 2019.

After his arrival, Ancelotti helped the Toffees get their season back on track although they had to settle for 10th place at the end of the 2020/21 Premier League season as they missed out on Europe.

It can be recalled that the Italian won the UEFA Champions League in his time at the Bernabeu in 2014 before he was relieved of his duties as the boss and headed to manage Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.

He’s now set for a shock return to the Spanish capital at the request of Madrid president Florentino Perez.

Zidane who was an assistant to Carlo Ancelotti recently stepped down from the managerial role at Real Madrid and the club are keen to finalize the deal for his replacement as soon as possible.

The likes of Mauricio Pochettion and Antonio Conte have been considered for the role but none of them is expected to join the club. However, Marca has now claimed that the Spanish giants are set to appoint Carlo Ancelotti as manager, which could be official in the next few hours.

Meanwhile, Ancelotti is still contracted to Everton, which means that a significant compensation fee would be required for his services.
