Barca are open to offers for Antoine Griezmann

Reports suggest that Barcelona are open to offers for Antoine Griezmann this summer. It can be recalled that the France international joined the Catalans from rivals Atletico Madrid in 2019.

He struggled in his start to life at Camp Nou but has rediscovered some of his best form in recent times under Dutch manager Ronald Koeman.

The club are pleased with the 30-year-old’s performances but a debt of close to £1billion means that there will be difficulty in strengthening the team this summer without first raising funds from the sale of players.

Presently, Griezmann is one of Barca’s prized assets and the Frenchman won’t be short of suitors, especially in England, if Barcelona put him up for sale.

This isn’t the major plan by the club but Marca claim that they are open to offers and could be enticed into selling if they receive a mouthwatering offer.

Barcelona are trying to convince Lionel Messi to stay put at Camp Nou and sign a new deal at the club as his current deal expires at the end of the season. It’s no more news that PSG are keen on the Argentine and that his stay or departure may decide Griezmann’s future at the club.

Meanwhile, they’ve had extensive talks with Sergio Aguero’s representatives and are confident of signing the Manchester City striker on a two-year deal on the expiration of his contract with the Citizens at the end of the season.
