The agent of Federico Bernardeschi has insisted that the player is happy at Juventus and doesn’t want to leave Turin in the summer.
The Italy international joined the Old Ladies from Fiorentina on a five-year-deal worth €40 million in 2017 but has struggled to carve a niche for himself in the team.
Juventus are ready to explore exit options for the player as they were willing to let him go in the January transfer window. A reported agreement with Barcelona didn’t materialize while AC Milan’s part-exchange offer with Lucas Paqueta didn’t work out either as Juve rejected the offer.
Regardless, Milan could still return for Bernardeschi while Atletico Madrid have also been linked with him.
Juventus are yet to receive any concrete offers for the player and his agent Beppe Bozzo has insisted that the attacker is not keen to leave Juventus.
“Federico is happy with Juventus,” Bozzo told Gazzetta dello Sport. “Are we talking about him going elsewhere? No, he wants to remain wearing black and white.”
Bernardeschi has struggled to become a favorite amongst fans in Turin but Bozzo noted that he has the support of manager Maurizio Sarri.
Bozzo added: “I’m sorry that the fans whistle him. Sarri and the club have always defended him.
“I’m glad, because he’s always given his best. It is no coincidence that he plays for the national team. He has adapted well to playing in other areas of the pitch.”
Meanwhile, Juventus are also considering the sale of Douglas Costa, whose future at the club remains uncertain.
The Serie A giants are eyeing a move for Valencia star Ferran Torres and are willing to cash in on the likes of Costa and Bernardeschi to fund the move.
They also have eyes on Barcelona’s Arthur as part of a potential swap deal that would involve Miralem Pjanic.
This is not the same with veterans Gianluigi Buffon and Giorgio Chiellini who are set for contract renewals.
