Michael Emenalo has shockingly ended his 10 year working relationship with Chelsea Football Club following his sudden resignation from the role of Sporting Director at the club as more questions mount over Conte’s reign as manager.
Sources have revealed that the decision made by Emenalo is a huge blow to Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich.
Chelsea emerged as three time Premier League winners, as well as winners of 1 FA cup, Europa League, League Cup and Champions League title respectively during the 52 year old ex Nigeria international’s tenure at the club,
Emenalo also watched Chelsea in their 1 nil win over Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday as he sat behind the Blues’ dugout.
This development comes as reports of a supposed bust up between Conte and David Luiz have also emerged. David Luiz was left out of the match day squad to play against Man United, and Conte in a post match interview made the following statements when questioned about his decision.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Conte said: ‘Christensen is 22 years old, he showed great personality, for sure he is the present and the future for Chelsea, the same for Ampadu.
‘David Luiz has to work with the others if he deserves to play, otherwise he will stay on the bench or in the stands.’
