Bundesliga set for return but won’t hold game on Friday

Football will return on May 16 after the Bundesliga chose not to hold a game next Friday night. reports have revealed. The green light to resume in the second half of May was given to the league by the German government on Wednesday.

Therefore, the German FA is set to announce on Thursday that they will return to action next weekend. A report by Bild suggests that it would be the same games that would have been played on the 26th matchday of the 2019/20 Bundesliga season.

Paderborn and Fortuna Dusseldorf were scheduled to meet on Friday of that week but a decision has been made not to hold the game on Friday. Instead, the first match will be played on Saturday, May 16 precisely.
