Eriksen happy at Inter after understanding Conte’s style

Inter Milan midfielder Christain Eriksen has warned rivals of the club that they are building a dynasty. It can be recalled that Eriksen started slowly under Antonio Conte but is now reinvigorated after getting to grips with the methods of the Italian tactician.

He didn’t have a bright start to life at Inter after his move from Tottenham Hotspur worth £17.5million in January 2020, as there were reports that he would leave the club during this year’s winter transfer window.

Eriksen had dropped down the pecking order of stars at the club under Conte as reports in Italy suggested that the latter was disappointed with the midfielder’s output.

In the same month, the CEO of the club Giuseppe Marotta suggested that Inter were willing to listen to offers for the Dane.

However, these turned out to be mere talks and the midfielder can look back on this campaign as a Serie A winner and the part he played in ensuring the Inter got their first domestic league triumph in 11 years, ending Juve’s dreams of a 10th consecutive Serie A title.

He had a chat with La Gazzetta dello Sport recently and revealed that everything about his career at Inter Milan came into place after it all clicked under Antonio Conte.

‘I didn’t understand the coach before, but then I learned his organised football’

‘Now I am truly happy and I’ll become a real Milanese citizen.

‘It’s only the beginning at Inter. We want to build a new era. Conte makes you win.’

Eriksen has played 33 games thus far for Inter Milan this season in all competitions and has 3 goals to his name including the goal against Crotone in the 2 nil win last Saturday.

The Dane will only hope to get better under the Italian next season if he’s still at the club as they attempt to defend their Serie A title and also participate in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
