Harry Kane steps up injury comeback in training
Harry Kane has been pictured midway through a personal rehabilitation as he puts in more effort for a return from a hamstring injury. He has not played since the New Year’s Day injury in the Premier League game against Southampton. However, he appears to be on course for a return ahead of schedule.
Kane participated in passing and other drills at the club’s training ground on Monday morning as his teammates continued their preparations for the UCL round of 16 return leg against Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.
He appeared sprightly during the session and his appearance is sure to have encouraged Spurs boss Jose Mourinho as well as England manager Gareth Southgate who will be hoping for his availability for the Euros.
It was initially feared that Kane would be on the sidelines for the rest of the campaign but he tweeted: “Love being back on the grass with a ball at my feet.”
Meanwhile, new signing Steven Bergwujn and Ben Davies were absent from training on Monday and it remains to be seen if they will make the UCL matchday squad to Germany as Spurs seek to overcome a first leg 1 nil defeat at home. Bergwijn suffered a knock in the closing stages of the Premier League 1 all draw against Burnley, a game Davies played no part in.
