According to reports, former Benfica boss Jorge Jesus rejected an offer to replace Maurizio Sarri as Chelsea boss.
Sarri is expected to leave Chelsea for Juventus in the coming weeks according to reports and the Blues are already on a search for an ideal replacement for the Italian.
Sarri who helped the Blues to a third-placed Premier League finish and Europa League triumph in his first season at Stamford Bridge was under fire for most parts of the season from fans and critics alike for his supposedly boring and less-incisive football tactics.
Chelsea were prepared to sack the Italian in February after a series of poor results but the 60-year-old turned things around.
Regardless, Sarri has been reportedly named as Juventus’ number 1 target to replace Allegri and has been reportedly offered a 3-year-deal by the Old Ladies.
Meanwhile, South American journalist Thiago Asmar has claimed that Jorge Jesus rejected an offer from Abramovich to be Chelsea boss as he wanted a major challenge.
The 64-year-old opted to become Flamengo boss after the departure of Abel Braga last month. The Blues are believed to have drawn up a list of targets to replace Sarri if he leaves the club.
It is believed that the likes of Chelsea legend Frank Lampard and Steve Holland are on the list.
