Serie A giants Juventus are looking for a new striker with Gonzalo Higuain’s future at the club hanging in the balance based on a report from Fabrizio Romano on Calciomercato.com.
According to the report, the 32-year-old is contracted to Juventus until 2021 and is no longer a guaranteed starter at the club due to the return of Paulo Dybala, thereby pushing the Argentine further down the pecking order.
Juventus want to bolster their attack and sign a player that will complement the efforts of Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo, a player in the mold of Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi.
Higuain’s contract could be an issue for the Old Ladies as they are not satisfied with the duration and wage guarantee and would be happy to let him leave for the right price. However, nothing has been decided yet although there are signs that he’ll leave Turin in the coming months.
