Madrid, Liverpool and Barca enquire about Camavinga

Camavinga has been immense in Ligue 1 this season with his impressive displays attracting attention and interest from some of Europe’s elite clubs. The 17-year-old has played a whopping 25 matches in Ligue 1 this season and is believed to have matured beyond his age.

According to Sport, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool have all made inquiries about the young midfielder. The report stated further that Barcelona are looking for a midfielder with a presence and similar to what Yaya Toure brings in the middle of the park.

Barca want a midfielder who is physically imposing and has a flair for playing possession-based football. However, they are wary of Rennes’ valuation of their prized asset and are not prepared to pay over the odds.

Camavinga could cost up to £45m and this fee won’t be feasible for the Catalan club who have other priorities in the transfer market. Real Madrid reportedly see the youngster as the ideal successor for Casemiro who has been overly relied upon at the Bernabeu. Therefore, they are keen to reinforce the position.

Liverpool are also expected to use their current successes as leverage to make notable additions to the side in the summer. They’ve been relatively inactive in recent windows and probably won’t shy away from a bidding war for Camavinga.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in the player although it’s unclear if they’ve made contact.
