Ahead of the Euro 2020 final between England and Italy at Wembley on July 11, a group known as mystic meerkats at the London Zoo have predicted that the Three Lions will beat Italy in the final on Sunday.
This happened after a zookeeper planted the flags of both countries in the ground while the meerkats were tasked to knock one down. It took them close to five minutes to choose England as the winner.
The Three Lions will host Italy at Wembley and it will be their first major final since they won the World Cup in 1966. Meanwhile, it’s no more news that animals have been used to predict the outcome of such high-profile games in the past.
In 2010, a German octopus attained popularity during the World Cup when he successfully predicted the outcome of 8 matches in the tournament.
His process was different as he chose a mussel from one of two boxes that bore the flags of the countries competing against each other.
